Aspirant Teacher
Start Date: 1 September 2017
32.5 hours per week, 8.15am - 3.15pm.
Term time + staff training days.
Actual Salary - £16,267pa.
We want to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated graduate who is looking to develop skills necessary to train as a teacher. If you are passionate about teaching, learning and working with young people, this exciting role will provide an extensive programme of professional development and guidance to enable access to a future School Direct or PGCE placement.
Vyners is a very popular and oversubscribed mixed six form entry, 11-18 comprehensive school, situated in a pleasant residential area in North West London, bordering Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We have a track record of real success at all Key Stages. GCSE results are excellent and we are now ranked in the top 100 non-selective state schools in England. 80% of students achieved A*- C including English and Maths at GCSE and we are ranked in the top 9% of all schools nationally for progress measures. At A-Level, in 2016, the school achieved its best ever results are we are now ranked in the top 4% of all sixth forms in the country for progress. The school converted to academy status on 1st November 2011 and is the lead school in the Vyners Learning Trust which also includes a primary school.
